Testing

New students pursuing a degree or certificate, or enrolling in English, mathematics, or reading courses must take the ASSET Placement test. The ASSET test is available at both the Pecos Campus and the Williams Campus. Please arrive 10 minutes early and allow 2 1/2 hours for testing. Identification is required. Request an ASSET Study Guide prior to testing.

Chandler-Gilbert uses the Assessment of Skills for Successful Entry and Transfer (ASSET) course placement tests. The ASSET test is an assessment tool evaluating students' present skills in English, reading, and mathematics. The results of the ASSET test are used as a guide for proper course placement leading to greater academic success.
