Veterans Services

Students seeking a degree or certificate program at the Williams Campus and who are eligible for Veterans Educational benefits can apply for school certification. To determine if you are eligible for benefits, contact the Veterans Administration (VA) Office at 1.800.442.4551. An interactive voice system can assist you by:

  1. connecting you directly to a VA Benefits Counselor
  2. answering frequently asked questions
  3. accepting requests for forms, brochures, or other services.

You can link directly to the VA web site for more valuable information. Active reservists can also contact the designated educational officer at their respective military base. The CGCC Financial Aid Office can certify student enrollment for veterans eligible under the following VA chapters:

  • Chapter 30 - Montgomery GI Bill
  • Chapter 31 - Vocational Rehabilitiation (separately served through local VA Voc Rehabilitation Offices)
  • Cahpter 32 - VEAP Program
  • Chapter 35 - Dependents of Deceased / 100% Disabled Veterans
  • Chapter 1606 - Reserve GI Bill

Students eligible for VA Educational Benefits must apply each semester and are encouraged tos eek early registration each semester. Academic Transcripts from prior institutions are required and must be evaluated by the CGCC A&R department at the Williams Campus to apply for school certification if you have attended another college or university. For details on timeframes to submit VA documents, transcripts and a checklist of requirements for school certification, contact the Financial Aid Office at the Williams Campus in person, by calling 480.988.8135, or email askcody@cgcmail.maricopa.edu. The Financial Aid Office is located in the Aviation & Technology Center (ATC) at the Williams Campus.
