Chandler-Gilbert Community College offers both an Associate of Applied Science degree (AAS) and a Certificate of Completion (CCL) program in Therapeutic Massage (TM). To be eligible for acceptance into either the AAS or CCL program in Therapeutic Massage, students will need to meet the following requirements. Acceptance into the Therapeutic Massage program at CGCC is dependent on the number of spaces available. Not all students who complete prerequisite requirements may be accepted into the program. This program is also offered at Phoenix College.

Requirements for acceptance into the program:

1. Complete your high school diploma or GED
2. Take ASSET tests
3. Review Reading & English preparation with advisor
4. Take appropriate Reading/English/Study Skills classes if needed
5. Attend a TM orientation session
6. Complete all TM program prerequisite classes with a "C" or better grade
7. Submit all college transcripts (CGCC and other colleges) - Unofficial OK for CGCC
8. Submit the application form by the due date
9. Be 18 years old by the program completion date
10. Complete an interview with the TM committee

Requirement to begin the program:

1. Attend a TM program meeting after you have been formally accepted
2. Purchase the equipment/supplies necessary to begin the program
3. Get health declaration and all immunizations
4. Get TB skin test
5. Get CPR for the Health Care provider card
6. Submit current fingerprinting card
7. Get drug screening
8. Register for classes and pay tuition and fees
9. Buy books
10. Start the program!
