The Health Care Integrated Educational System (HCIES) is a comprehensive and integrated system for health care education within the Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD). It is designed to respond to the dynamic and evolving nature of the health care system; it is focused on collaboration with the local health care community; and it is sensitive to access for diverse populations. All programs and educational offerings within HCIES emphasize the achievement of relevant competencies and ensure value to the individual, the employer, and the community. Chandler-Gilbert Community College offers all the prerequisite courses that students will need to enter any of the specific Allied Health Care programs offered at many of the Maricopa Community Colleges, allowing our students to enter their specific programs with a comprehensive background of the health care field. CGCC also offers the prerequisite courses for the ASU nursing program. They will gain specific skills that will increase their marketability with employers and enable them to immediately contribute to the success and productivity of the health care team.
