Al Pace is a native Arizonan. After earning his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Fine Art from Arizona State University, he has dedicated three decades as the ceramics instructor at Chandler High School in Chandler, Arizona, and is currently chairman of the art department. Al also has been teaching ceramics for CGCC since 1996.
Al considers his work to be,"The art of turning mud into stone, a lump of clay into a vessel of beauty." Al's work is vessel oriented and he credits Japanese and African pottery as a major influence on his life's work.
