Chandler-Gilbert's computer graphics program specializes in 2-dimensional computer graphics. The classroom is equipped with Macintosh G5 dual processor computers. Software applications include Adobe Photoshop CS3, Adobe Illustrator CS3, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Dreamweaver, and Corel Painter 10. A range of courses provide a continuum of learning experiences from the fundamentals of computer graphics techniques to advanced problem solving. Special attention is given to the aesthetic foundations underlying composition. In addition to taking individual courses, students may wish to consider earning a certificate. Two certificates are offered: 1) Digital Imaging with an emphasis on photographic manipulation of imagery and 2) Computer Art/Illustration with an emphasis on producing illustrations.

ART169 Two-Dimensional Computer Design Ted Wolter 3
NOTE: Prerequisites for ART169 are waived by the instructor for those students who have basic computer knowledge and have completed one college-level art course.
NOTE 2: This course is taught once a year, Fall semester only. ART169 meets concurrently with other computer art courses. Total enrollment is limited to 16 and instruction is individualized. ART169 is taught using Macintosh G5 computers and Adobe Illustrator CS3 software. Cost estimate: Approximately $248 for tuition and course fees plus the cost of basic computer supplies such as flash drives.
ART173 Computer Art Ted Wolter 3
