Classroom and Lab Information The Classroom Assets and Software Report (CLASS-R)
is a new and improved online database which replaces the Classroom Information
Database (CID) online web form.
CLASS-R
offers faculty and staff easy online access to computer classroom and lab
information including:
- Equipment and software inventory
- Classroom furniture layout
- Classroom schedules
- Software and hardware configuration requests
- TSS and Media
- contact information
Also available is the C Building Laptop Cart, providing flexible technology options for faculty conducting classes in the C Building. These laptops can be reserved through the Computer Lab Laptop Cart Reservation Process
SEMESTER STARTUP Classroom Software Requests To submit your classroom and lab
setup needs, instructors must contact their Classroom Liaison to submit their
request. Classroom Liaisons will then enter the information on the CLASS-R
web form.
Role of the Classroom Liaison Classroom
Liaisons are the communication link between the division chair(s), faculty,
and technology managers (i.e. Instructional Technology, TSS, Media Services,
and the Instructional Computer Committee- ICC). They serve as an intermediate
clearinghouse for configuration information for instruction. Classroom
Liaisons coordinate setup requests for software, hardware, and media requirements
from instructors with Instructional
Technology, Technical Support Services, and/or
Media Services. In addition,
liaisons assist in gathering and communicating problems that interfere with
the delivery of instruction.
Liaisons are not software
experts, Help Desk representatives, nor do they approve purchases of software
or hardware.
