  Mathematics Division

Criteria For Emerging Science And Math Scholars

The Science and Mathematics Divisions are honoring current students who have met all of the following criteria:

  1. Students must have completed a minimum of 12 credits in 100 -level or higher courses at CGCC by the fall semester.
  2. Students must have completed 24 or more credits at CGCC by the fall semester.
  3. Students must have a GPA of 3.7 or higher at CGCC through the fall semester.
  4. Prior to the current semester, students must have completed at least one of the following mathematics courses at CGCC: MAT 082, MAT 091, or MAT 092.
  5. Prior to the current semester, students must have completed at least one of the following mathematics courses at CGCC: MAT 120, MAT 121, or MAT 122.
  6. Students must currently be enrolled at CGCC in MAT 142, MAT 150, MAT 151, MAT 152, or MAT 187 if they have not completed one of these mathematics courses at CGCC.
  7. Prior to the current semester, students must have completed at least one four-credit science course with lab at CGCC.
  8. Students must currently be enrolled at CGCC in a science lecture with lab course or an EEE/ECE lecture with lab course if they have not completed all of their science *requirements at CGCC.
  9. Students must have received a grade of "A" or "B" in all mathematics and all science lecture and lab courses at CGCC.
  10. Students must not be college graduates.

*Note: MAT 102 and MAT 298 are not applicable for this program.
