CGCC Press Release Submissions

We encourage CGCC faculty, staff and students to submit story ideas they feel may be of interest to others outside the college. When you submit an idea, remember the 5 W's: Who, What, When, Where, Why. Answer these 5 W's and you provide us with a good start in developing the background and story pitches for our local media.

Also, what makes the story unique or newsworthy? Is there any visual excitement to the story? Provide us with as much detail as possible and make sure you include a contact phone number and/or email where we can follow up with you should we have questions prior to releasing the information to the media.

Please submit items to be publicized a minimum of three weeks prior to desired publication date. Please be as specific and complete as possible when providing information. If you have questions, please contact Trish Niemann at (480) 732.7030 or email trish.niemann@cgcmail.maricopa.edu.

Press release requests do not guarantee publication. The media ultimately decides who and what stories it will cover.
