  • Academic OneFile - - Over 10,900 journals and magazines. Most are full-text.
  • MasterFile Premier-- Full text information dating as far back as 1975 including more than 350 full text reference books, 84,606 biographies, 88,463 primary source documents, and an Image Collection of 107,135 photos, maps and flags.
  • Academic Search Premier-- Provides full text for nearly 4,600 scholarly publications, including full text for more than 3,500 peer-reviewed journals. Coverage spans virtually every area of academic study and offers information dating as far back as 1975.
  • CQ Researcher -- Weekly full-text reports providing comprehensive information on topics currently in the news.
  • EBSCOhost -- Journals and magazines. Includes MasterFILE Premier, Academic Search Premier, Business Source Premier, and several Health Source databases. Most are full-text.
  • FirstSearch -- Many subjects using 11 databases. May also search for ERIC Journals using the ERIC databases in FirstSearch.
  • Opposing ViewPoints Resource Center--A dynamic online library of current event topics-the facts as well as the arguments of each topic's proponents and detractors.
  • Religion and Philosophy Collection-- Provides extensive coverage of such topics as world religions, major denominations, biblical studies, religious history, epistemology, political philosophy, philosophy of language, moral philosophy and the history of philosophy.

  • Business Source Premier -- Provides 1105 full-text journals covering business, management, economics, finance, banking, investment, and more.
  • Hoovers-- Up to date proprietary editorial content covering more than 40,000 public and non-public companies and 225,000 key executives. Hoover's, widely recognized as a leading provider of corporate data, delivers in depth industry analysis, information on a company's location, summary financials, top competitors, top officers, and more.
  • Mergent--Provides U.S. company data, International company data, Annual Reports, and corporate visibility.
  • Regional Business News-- Provides comprehensive full text coverage of 75 business journals, newspapers and news wires from all metropolitan and rural areas within the United States.
  • Vocational and Career Collection-- This collection provides full text coverage for 400 trade and industry-related periodicals.

Education

  • Education Index (WilsonWeb)-- Search over 500 full-text education journals and magazines.
  • ERIC -- Educational Resources Information Center - - The ERIC database is the largest source of educational information. Search for ERIC documents and journal articles.
  • Professional Development Collection-- Designed for professional educators, this database provides a highly specialized collection of more than 750 full text education journals, including more than 350 peer-reviewed titles.

Health and Science

  • Access Science -- Encyclopedia of science and technology.
  • CINAHL Plus with Full Text--Provides indexing for 3,024 journals from the fields of nursing and allied health, with indexing back to 1937. CINAHL Plus also contains searchable cited references for more than 1,160 journals. Full text material includes nearly 80 journals plus legal cases, clinical innovations, critical paths, drug records, research instruments and clinical trials.
  • Health Source: Consumer Edition -- Search for information on many health topics including medicine, food sciences, nutrition, sports medicine, and general health.
  • Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition -- Provides nearly 600 scholarly full-text journals focusing on many medical disciplines.
  • MEDLINE-- Provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more.
  • Nature -- The world's foremost weekly scientific journal.
  • OVID--Provides access to over 60 of today's top nursing journals including LPN2006 and Nursing Made Incredibly Easy!
  • Science -- The world's leading journal of original scientific research, global news, and commentary.
  • Science Resource Center--is an in-depth science database that provides a one-stop resource for all science-related research needs. This resource focuses on earth science, science history, life science, physical science, science and technology, space and much more.

History

  • Current History -- On Campus Use Only- - Full-text journal articles from 1999 and abstracts only from 1992. Once in the site, load the articles or abstracts by clicking on "College, School, Library & Business Users Download"
  • History Cooperative--The History Cooperative is a pioneering nonprofit humanities resource offering top-level on line history scholarship.
  • History Study Center -- " The History Study Center acts as a gateway to historical study, acquainting students with the form and content of primary sources while supporting their study with key articles from historical journals and a library of respected historical reference resources."
  • History Journals/Magazines Indexes -- An index of articles in southwest, United States, and world history journals and magazines.
  • Women and Social Movements in the United States 1600-2000-- More than 23,000 pages of documents pertaining to Women and Social Movements including a dictionary of social movements and organizations.

Literature

  • Biography Resource Center + The Complete Marquis Who's Who-- Search for people based on one or more personal facts such as birth and death year, nationality, ethnicity, occupation or gender, or combine criteria to create a highly-targeted custom search. With the Complete Marquis Who's Who, find quick reference information on an additional 900,000 people.
  • Literature Resource Center -- Provides access to biographies, bibliographies, and critical analysis of authors from every age and literary discipline and covers more than 120,000 novelists, poets, essayists, journalists, and other writers, with in-depth coverage of 2,500 of the most-studied authors.


Psychology

  • PsycARTICLES--contains more than 39,000 searchable full text articles from 44 journals published by the American Psychological Association and 8 from allied organizations. It contains all journal articles, letters to the editor and errata from each of the 52 journals. Coverage spans from 1985 to the present.
  • Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection-- Covers topics such as emotional and behavioral characteristics, psychiatry & psychology, mental processes, anthropology, and observational and experimental methods.
  • Criminal Justice Periodicals Index-- A comprehensive database of U.S. and international criminal justice journals providing research support in criminal justice, law enforcement, corrections administration, drug enforcement, rehabilitation, family law, and industrial security. Titles include: American Journal of Criminal Justice, FBI Law Enforcement Bulletin, Journal of Forensic Sciences and Women Police.

  • Associated Press Images--  More than 3.6 million photographs from 1925 to today, more than 100,00 graphics, including maps, timelines, logos and graphs and over 45,000 hours of audio clips.
  • Encyclopedia Britannica-- The up-to-date multimedia encyclopedia with many additional features, including maps, video clips, web links to related Internet sites and an on line dictionary. Also includes the Britannica Student Encyclopedia.
  • CultureGrams--Concise, reliable, and up-to-date country reports on 187 cultures of the world
  • Gale Virtual Reference Library - database of encyclopedias, almanacs, and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research.
  • Oxford Reference Online: Premium Collection -- Reliable and authoritative references, including comprehensive, scholarly articles.
