    The official U.S. government web portal offering users access to agencies and services of federal, state, local and tribal, even international governments. On FirstGov.gov, you can search millions of web pages from federal and state governments, the District of Columbia and U.S. territories. Information is also conveniently categorized into topics like Benefits & Grants, Consumer Protection, Defense & International, Education & Jobs, Health & Nutrition, Money & Taxes, Public Safety & Law, and Science & Technology.

  • Bureau of Labor Statistics
    This Federal government fact-finding agency compiles economic and labor statistics. Features the latest U.S. economic data including the unemployment rate, consumer price index, and producer price index.

  • Census Bureau
    The U.S. Census Bureau website contains an extensive collection of statistical information on the U.S. population, including economic and business data. The U.S. Census population clocks provide up to the minute estimates of U.S. and world populations. The U.S. Census American FactFinder feature provides useful facts and information about your community, your economy, and your society. The U.S. Census State & County QuickFacts feature provides people, business, and geography statistics.

  • CIA World Factbook
    This website provides country profiles which include an overview of the country's government, geography, economy, people and issues. Global reference maps and flags of the world databases are also available.

  • FedStats
    FedStats provides easy access to statistics and information produced by more than 100 U.S. Federal Government agencies.

     

  • GPO Access - Weekly Compilation of Presidential Documents
    The official publication of presidential statements, messages, remarks, and other materials released by the White House Press Secretary.

  • GPO Access - Core Documents of U.S. Democracy
    Direct access to the basic Federal Government documents that define our democratic society such as The Constitution, The Bill of Rights, and The Declaration of Independence.

  • Library of Congress
    Explore the Library of Congress (LOC) collections electronically. The site provides access to unique American historical collections as well as the LOC catalog, and online exhibitions which feature collection treasures. Another LOC service is THOMAS which provides information on current legislation including a full text of all bills, the Congressional Record, links to Committee reports, and more.

  • Office of Management and Budget
    Contains the current budget of the U.S. Government.

  • Supreme Court of the United States
    Includes recent opinions, calendar, case handling guides, and court rules.

  • U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
    The United States government's principal agency for protecting the health of all Americans and providing essential human services, especially for those who are least able to help themselves.   • The White House
    Features statements, speeches, and press releases by President George W. Bush as well as White House history, and tour information.

  • Project Vote Smart
    A non-partisan, nonprofit voter education organization that has objective information on elections, federal and state governments, political and social issues, and related information.
