Pronunciation of Germann

I find it mildly humorous that in this "English Only" climate it is wildly popular
to pronounce Germann as "Germaine" or "Germane" instead of how it is actually spelled.
I think every resident should make a conscious effort to pronounce
the language correctly, as spelled, and politely correct those who do not. If the people
want to pronounce it differently, they can petition the city to change the spelling.

Information on 'Hamilton' Requested

I am intereested in the history of the "Hamilton" name in Chandler. The "Chandler
Historical Overview" mentions the street as a boundry in 1912.

I was wondering if you have a life story of Joshua Thomas Willis, he was my great grandfather.  He married Ellen Aldridge.

Kyrene Road

The Kyrene Road page contains a photo of the Aepli family from 1903. They were: Ernest,
David, Margaret, Lizetta, and baby Milton "Fritz" Aepli. Margaret Aepli, the girl
wearing the hat, was my grandmother.

The other photo of the Kyrene School from 1908 shows a tall boy wearing a hat. He
looks a lot like Ernest Aepli from the 1903 photo. Ernest Aepli died in 1903, so maybe
the photo was actually taken in 1903, not 1908?

David Aepli was my father.  We moved from Yuma to Mesa in 1936 and he was superintendent first of the Mesa Farm and later became superintendent of all of the Uiversity of Arizona Farms.

I would like to contact the person who sent in the picture of the Aepli family as I want a copy.
