Mission
At Chandler-Gilbert Community College, the Faculty Staffing Committee consists of the Dean of Instruction and at least four (4) faculty members appointed by the College Faculty Senate president. The Dean of Instruction serves as a consulting, nonvoting member of this committee.
Each spring, the Faculty Staffing Committee accepts requests for new residential faculty positions. Individual faculty members, in consultation with appropriate division/department chairpersons, may submit requests. After the deadline for requests has passed, the Faculty Staffing Committee meets to prioritize the submitted requests. The committee may choose to consult with department/division chairpersons and other appropriate personnel in order aid in this process. The committee's recommendations are delivered to the College President.
