"Dip sticking" Student Attitudes and Achievement Tuesday, November 30th 11:30 am -1:00 pm L238, Pecos Campus
"Classroom research" is a periodic system of quick assessments, opportunities to check the level ("dipstick") student learning and comfort. Classroom
research techniques (CATs) informally address two questions: How do I know if my students are learning what I am
teaching? How do I know how the class is going for my students? This workshop further defines and differentiates
assessing learning and attitudes, explores reasons why classroom research is important, and shares an array of quickie strategies. Facilitated
by Sharon Fagan, Teacher Education Faculty. For more information contact Sharon at 480.732.7124.
** Standard hourly pay is available for
adjunct-faculty participation in this workshop. **

to what you already do with technology? Or perhaps you have great ideas to share about using technology
as a part of instruction?
Come hear about what kinds of technologies are bubbling up at Maricopa to help students learn. Also
come find out about how Reusable Learning Objects (modules, interactive techology, etc.) can facilitate student learning. Faculty representatives from two
of the four Ocotillo Action Groups will discuss Emerging Technologies and Reusable Learning Objects. This will be
an open conversation and a great opportunity to learn about these technologies and give your input to
the groups.
If you need more information, please contact Tom Foster (27179) or Chris Schnick (27186).Feel like you are unaware of
