Transition Services

Mission

Transition Services provides support to the non-traditional student who is beginning or resuming their educational goals. Transition Services includes organized programs for returning students and Womens Resource Circle of Support (WoRCS), a student support group to help students achieve academic success.

Program Role & Function

This program services the adult student who is either beginning or resuming their college education. The Adult Learner who returns to education is becoming the "norm" rather than the exception on campuses across the country. This student brings diverse skills, knowledge and experiences to the classroom and college environment. They also come with unique issues and challenges that could benefit from the ongoing support services on campus. Transition Services is able to provide informal and formal support systems for the adult learner.
