PHARMACY TECHNICIAN COURSE

This 72 clock hour comprehensive course will prepare students to enter the pharmacy field and to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board's PTCB exam. Technicians work in hospitals, home infusion pharmacies, community pharmacies and other health care settings - working under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. Course content includes medical terminology specific to the pharmacy, reading and interpreting prescriptions and defining drugs by generic and brand names. Students will learn dosage calculations, I.V. flow rates, drug compounding, dose conversions, dispensing of prescriptions, inventory control and billing and reimbursement.

Prerequisites:
High School Diploma or GED. Knowledge of basic arithmetic/math (primarily proportions and fractions). A Recognition of Completion document is granted upon successful completion.

DIALYSIS TECHNICIAN PROGRAM

This Dialysis Technician Program provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties required of Dialysis Technicians. Under the supervision of physicians and registered nurses, Dialysis Technicians operate kidney dialysis machines, prepare dialyzer reprocessing and delivery systems as well as maintain and repair equipment. Furthermore, technicians work with patients during dialysis procedures and monitor and record vital signs as well as administer local anesthetics and drugs as needed. Dialysis Technicians must also assess patients for any complications that occur during the procedure and must be ready to take necessary emergency measures including administering oxygen or performing Basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. Additionally, they may also be involved in the training of patients for at-home dialysis treatment and providing them with the emotional support they need for self care. Note: This program does not include a national or state certification as part of its overall objectives. Additionally there is no student internship or clinical rotation offered as part of this program.

American Home Inspection Master - Online

The comprehensive course is broken down in an easy and understandable format. You study at your own pace. The

Certificate of Completion

There are 3 parts to obtaining certification:

1. 80 hours of approved coursework for pre-licensing through the Arizona Board of Technical Registration (BTR). This is what the Online Master Course is.

2. The student must then sit for a national exam offered through a third party. This information is available through BTR. This course will assist in obtaining required knowledge.

3. The student goes on 30 hours of ride-alongs with a licensed inspector. AHIT can set this up at the student's request, or the student may already have somebody in mind.

This program is designed to give analysts, investigators, detectives and managers the background and skills to interpret geographic profiles correctly and to make actionable recommendations.

Students learn through presentations given by subject matter experts, through the study of real cases, group dialogue and a field exercise as well as hands-on training with the professional geographic profiling software, Rigel.

This course is approved by the Committee for Geographic Profiling Analyst Training and Certification (CGPATC), and graduates are eligible for certification as Geographic Profiling Analysts.
