Program Description
- Supports an interdisciplinary program of study
- Provides intensive study of written and oral communication skills in different contexts including:
- interpersonal communication
- small group interaction
- team building
- problem solving
- public speaking and presentation skills
- conflict resolution
- assertiveness
- leadership
- Develops skills to enhance professional, social, and personal interactions and to become more competitive and competent in the workforce
- Complements the AA degree, partially fulfill the requirement of the AGEC A core requirements endorsement at Arizona state universities
- Provides additional knowledge and expertise for students holding other academic degrees
What is this Program?
Students are provided with an opportunity to:
- Develop specific communication skills important in the workplaceAdvance in current job or profession
- Meet more than half the requirements in the AGEC endorsement for transfer to state universities
- Provide a value added component to complement the AA degree
