The AGEC
is a 35-semester-credit block of lower division general education
courses that fulfills lower-division general education requirements for
students planning to transfer to an Arizona public university.
Certified completion of the block satisfies admission requirements to
an Arizona public university and transfers without loss of
credit.
These
degrees/pathways transfer as a block without loss of credit to
Arizona's public universities. All semester credits used to satisfy the
MCCCD pathways will apply to university graduation requirements of the
university major for which the degree was designed.
The
degree is recommended for students whose educational goals require
flexibility. The AGS allows students to choose any elective courses
numbered 100 and above to complete the degree. Therefore, this degree
may be less appropriate for students who intend to transfer to a
baccalaureate-granting institution.
This
degree is designed to meet the needs of the Maricopa Community College
students transferring to public and private colleges and
universities. This degree is developed for students who have an
identified major and have selected the baccalaureate degree-granting
institution to which they intend to transfer. The following ATP
degrees are for ASU Tempe and ASU Polytechnic (formerly ASU East)
Campuses only.
