How Do I Know What I Want To Be?


You may know which career is right for you, or you may be undecided. Career assessments may help. They can be used as a source of information to help you confirm your interest in a career or help you identify and explore possibilities. When considering careers, it is important for you to consider your values, personality, interests and skills. Work and life style can also be considered when planning a career. Here are some career assessments that may help you gain knowledge about yourself and explore career possibilities. General Career Assessments

A computerized career guidance program that allows you to take career inventories and obtain information on career planning. Please obtain a user ID from the Career and Placement Services Center.

Arizona Career Information System

Another computerized career guidance program with career inventories and information on career planning.  Its focus is on providing job information for Arizona.

Career Interests Assessment Game

This exercise will help you to match your interests and skills with careers. It is based on work by noted psychologist, John Holland. The link is to the University of Missouri.  After taking the assessment, link to Chandler-Gilbert Community College's majors according to Holland Code. Note that, while Chandler-Gilbert Community College may not offer every major, we do offer the prerequisites that may be completed before transferring to one of our transfer partnering institutions.
