Chandler-Gilbert Community College's Aviation Division includes the Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) program, which is designed to prepare students for licensure as certified airframe and powerplant (A&P) mechanics and for employment in entry level positions in the aircraft maintenance field. The curriculum meets Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements for the number of hours of instruction and for the level and type of competency expected of the students in general, airframe, and powerplant subject areas. Completion of the Certificate program may lead to an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology. Students wishing to enroll in the AMT program must complete an application before being considered for acceptance into the program.
