Chandler-Gilbert Community College's Aviation Division includes Airway Science Technology, Flight Emphasis (AET) curriculum which is designed to prepare students to apply technical knowledge and skills to the flying of commercial, agricultural, public service, corporate, or private airplanes, and to prepare students to sit for the Federal Aviation Administration written and practical examinations for Commercial Pilot Certificate with Single Engine Airplane Land Rating; Instrument Rating; Flight Instructor Certificate with the Single Engine Airplane Land Rating; and the Multiengine Rating added to the Commercial Pilot Certificate or the conventional aircraft endorsement. Students desiring to transfer to another institution for completion of a four-year degree should consult an advisor and the catalog for the institution to which they plan to transfer to determine specific requirements. International Flight Students must meet requirements set forth by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) prior to actually flying. Please contact a program advisor for additional details.
