- The AMS program is designed to meet the needs of today's high tech industry by providing trained technicians who can immediately become an asset to a company's operations.
- Students from our program learn the programming, installation and troubleshooting automated equipment using state-of-art tools and software. Students will be proficient in the area of robotic systems, Programmable logic controllers, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Vacuums, Digital systems, Electronics, Sensors, CIM, Traditional and semiconductor processes. This latest technology knowledge coupled with hands-on experience is very important for a successful career as a technician.
- The AMS program will prepare students for employment in a wide variety of manufacturing industries such as:
- Automotive
- Aeronautical
- Semiconductors
- Pharmaceuticals
- Food processing
- Cosmetics
- Packaging
- Consumer products (e.g. Diapers, Soap etc.)
- Biotech
- All other high-tech manufacturing industries.
- Upon completion, students have the potential to be hired by one of the companies that help support the AMS program. We are making on-going efforts to built new partnerships with the industry:
- Students should know that companies as listed above are not the only companies that are hiring technicians or production support specialists. There are several employers in the valley and demand for trained technicians is increasing every year.
- Additional Career Opportunites
- On average, most technicians in the manufacturing industry make $17-$20 an hour.
